Weed control & fertilization in Forest Ridge

Your Forest Ridge lawn deserves more than a generic route treatment

Forest Ridge’s oak canopy is part of the community’s character, but tree cover, sun exposure and established landscaping vary by property. We build the program around the yard you actually have.

A neighborhood rooted on the ridge

A distinctive Davie community shaped by its ridge, oaks and winding streets

Forest Ridge began taking shape in the late 1980s around Pine Island Ridge. Its curved brick entrance, winding streets and mature oaks established the look residents still recognize today. The Major William Lauderdale monument at the entrance has long served as one of the community’s most visible landmarks.

Forest Ridge is a master-planned community made up of nine sub-associations: Arborwood, Chapel Hill, Lake Park, North Orchard, Oak Grove, Oak Park, Old Orchard, Hidden Hollow and Ridge on Nob Hill. They share one recognizable community identity, but shade, irrigation, drainage and turf conditions can change from one property to the next.

Sun, shade & root pressureOpen-sun lawns and oak-shaded yards can behave very differently. Dense surface roots and compacted soil can limit how deeply turf roots establish.

What changes from yard to yard

Sun, shade and established landscaping can create different lawn conditions within a few steps

A shaded front yard, sunnier side strip and irrigation-heavy backyard should not automatically receive the same assumptions. We look at how the property is actually growing.

Canopy and root competitionWhere mature oaks are present, they can change sunlight, airflow, moisture and root competition across the lawn.
Irrigation and drainageCoverage gaps, overspray and wetter pockets can influence turf density, weeds and disease pressure.
Established landscapesBeds, roots, hardscape and mature plantings can create narrow zones that need closer attention.

The Forest Ridge difference

Keep the canopy. Build a smarter program beneath it.

The goal is not to treat every shaded area as a problem. It is to understand where turf can thrive, where pressure is building and how weed control, fertilization, insect and disease care should work together across the property.

Forest Ridge service questions

Before we review your lawn

Do you service homes throughout the Forest Ridge master association?

Yes. Paradise Lawn Rx serves homes throughout the Forest Ridge master association, including all nine sub-associations.

How soon should I expect to see results after lawn treatment?

Some weeds begin curling or fading within days, while tougher weeds and improvements in turf color or density can take longer. Weather, irrigation and the lawn’s starting condition all affect the timeline.

Why might I still see weeds after a treatment?

Different weeds respond at different speeds, and new weeds can emerge where turf is thin or stressed. The goal is steady reduction through proper treatment, stronger turf and follow-up—not an overnight cosmetic change.

Should I water the lawn after a treatment?

It depends on the products applied and the condition of the lawn. We will tell you whether the application should remain dry or be watered in, so you do not have to guess.

When can children and pets return to the lawn?

Keep children and pets off treated areas until the application has dried, and follow any specific instructions we provide for that treatment.

Can treatment bring back completely bare or dead areas?

Weed Control & Fertilization can support living turf, but they cannot replace grass that is already gone. Bare areas may also require sod, irrigation correction or changes to the underlying growing conditions.
